Locally Owned and Operated I started D. Brian’s Deli & Catering in 1986 with the purpose of offering healthy and nutritious food in a fast and convenient format. I named the business using my first initial and middle name because I wanted it to reflect my desire for fresh quality, speedy convenience and affordability. I hope you’ll agree that I’ve accomplished these goals I decided on a quick-serve format because it’s fast and efficient while saving money and time for the customers. I also specified only the highest quality food ingredients for our menu items and set the standards so only the freshest ingredients would be used – at D. Brian’s, we’ll never use day-old bread for your sandwich. I also wanted the customers to be able to change or tweak their food ingredients – ‘a little extra of this and none of that’ - so I designed the kitchen layout so each customer watches and interacts with their food preparer as their food is being made. At D. Brian’s, you don’t pay first and hold onto your receipt while you wait for your food to appear from a hidden kitchen. While I certainly hope you enjoyed your in-store dining experience, we also deliver catered food throughout the Twin Cities – something we can easily accomplish through our delivery service and network of nine locations. It has been my privilege to be a part of the Twin Cities dining experience for over 20 years. After having grown up here and graduated from the University of Minnesota, I expect to always call the Twin Cities home. We understand that our goal is to create loyal customers and repeat business, so we have carefully chosen our ingredients to include only the freshest and very best. Quality is the only way to go, and it gives your company a good name. Quality service is just as important as quality products, so the Company has identified five core values that guide all decision-making. The first one is to provide a sense of urgency. Our customers are striving to do more with less time, and they need a nutritious meal that saves them time and powers them through their challenging daily routine. The second core value recognized that the most spotless restaurants are also the most profitable, so we have developed a 100 point checklist to ensure that the hard work of sanitation is accomplished every day. Third, we want our locations to be a fun place to work and to eat, so we strive to maintain an enjoyable atmosphere, even when things get really, really hectic. Next, we recognize that no business can succeed without superior treatment of its employees, so the Company has developed a superior compensation package for all of its employees. Finally comes the old fashioned concept of value which we call customer profit. We have matched prices to our products and services in such a way that our customers, upon finishing their meals, will sense that they received more from the Company than the Company got from them; ergo, a customer profit was delivered!
